Membership Renewal

Is your annual membership coming up for renewal? Be sure and re-up your membership on or before the expiration date to receive a special discount.

 

The renewal rate for membership is $70 for individuals and $260 for families. Others, the rates are $85 and $320.

Lost or Forgotten Membership ID
You may replace a lost or forgotten membership ID at the Aquarium Pyramid Lobby for a $1 fee.

Come cap off your vacation as Moody Gardens ends the summer in grand style.

 

Along with the final days of Bands on the Sand and Dinos Alive, as well as a few special events, August is a great time to come to Moody Gardens before the kids head back to school.

 

The Shark University Week and the 4th Annual Brewmasters Beer Festival are the perfect way to cap off your summer in a fun and exciting way.

 

Enjoy the final weekend of the Bands on the Sand summer concert series driven by Cadillac with fireworks powered by TXU Energy at Palm Beach on Aug. 9 and 10. Don't miss out as Bill Archer (Aug. 9) and Vertigo (Aug. 10) close out the popular summer celebration with a bang. The fireworks blast off around 9:20 p.m.

 

Entry to Palm Beach and Bands on the Sand is free for all members. Bring your friends and take advantage of your guest discount.

Gabriel Prusmack is one of the top surfers in Texas. He also has plenty of great stories from his up close and personal encounters with sharks!

 

Gabriel is an accomplished surfer, winning the Texas State Surfing Championship in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2011. He's surfed all over locations in the Atlantic and Pacific locations, where he has compiled a plethora of shark tales. He'll bring some great photos to accompany his presentation. 

 

All members in attendance will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a Land Shark Surfboard signed by Gabriel Prusmack. A light breakfast will be served prior to the presentation.

Take a bite out of your summer with Shark University Week Aug. 4 through Aug. 10! Join us at Moody Gardens for a plethora of shark theme activities, including nightly showings of Discovery Channel's newest programs and a special viewing of "Jaws" on the largest screen in Texas. Witness live feedings, Caribbean dives, keeper presentations and more in our Aquarium Pyramid. Moody Gardens is a proud sponsor of Discovery Channel's Shark Week.

4th ANNUAL BREWMASTER BEER FESTIVAL:
 

GET CRAFTY with over 400 craft brews - this is the event you don't want to miss. Interface with industry experts and Brew Brains to put your knowledge to the test.

 

Head on down to Galveston Island over Labor Day weekend for the 4th Annual BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival - the largest, most comprehensive craft beer celebration in the Lone Star State!

 

And what would Labor Day be without a concert on the beach? Beach, Brews & Bands features live music in the sand followed by fireworks at Palm Beach.

 

On Aug. 31 enjoy Seattle, a popular grunge-inspired cover band. On Sept. 1, Jared Waggoner entertains the crowd with country music.

 

Tickets are $6 for members and include all activities at Palm Beach plus the concert and fireworks.

* Brewlicious Brew & Food Pairings, 7 - 10 p.m. Admissions is $75, Designated Driver ticket $25.

Saturday, Aug. 31

* Texas Tasting Tour, 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Admission is $25

* BrewHaHa Grand Tasting, 3 - 6:30 p.m. Admission is $35, Designated Driver ticket $15, Premium VIP Lounge $85.

* Beach Brew & Bands concert at Palm Beach featuring Seattle (alternative grunge music) with fireworks, 6 - 10 p.m. Admission is $6 for members.

* Hopper Pass $110: provides all admission to all Saturday activities.

 

Sunday, Sept. 1

* Beach Brew & Bands concert at Palm Beach featuring Jarrod Waggoner (country music) with fireworks, 6 - 10 p.m. Admission is $6 for members.

 

Get a Grand Hopper Pass for $185. The Pass provides admission to all Brewmasters Beer Festival events throughout the weekend.

THEATER SCHEDULE
 

The Moody Gardens MG 3D Theater, featuring the largest screen in Texas, continues to entertain movie goers with its flicks, including "Dinosaurs Alive 3D" and "A Turtles Tale: Escape from Paradise 3D."

* The 4D Special FX Theater is showing the Wizard of Oz 4D Experience. The last show starts at 7:45 p.m. 

DINOS ALIVE EXHIBIT
 

Only a couple of weeks remain before Dinos Alive goes extinct at Moody Gardens.

 

The Jurassic adventure filled with lifelike animatronic dinosaurs runs, including a full-size Tyrannosaurus rex, runs until Aug. 18. Come unleash your inner paleontologist before it is too late.

 

Dinos Alive is free for all members.

PYRAMID KIDS CAMPS 

 

Summer vacation is underway and it's time to plan special activities to keep the kids occupied with our Summer Pyramid Kids Camps.  Children ages 3-14 can explore the mysteries of the rainforest and plunge into the depths of the ocean to learn about its inhabitants dwelling within. Registration is required at least two weeks in advance.

MOODY GARDENS GOLF COURSE:
 

JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS

August 6-8

Designed for boys and girls ages 6-14, participants of all skill levels can learn the basics about the game. The camps run from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9-11 a.m. on Thursday. Price is $99 a camper. To sign up, call 409-683-1204.

 

WEEKLY GOLF CLINICS

Come join PGA Golf Professional Rick Christ as he teaches golfers of all skill levels ways to improve your game. The clinic is every Wednesday night beginning at 6 p.m. The price is $20 a person ($10 if you are a Pyramid Program member).
