Are you an aspiring broadcast reporter, camera operator, producer, director, ETC...? Are you passionate about editing, being in front of the camera or maybe you simply love cable television? We here at HCAM are currently re-vamping our internship program, taking a production-based approach to it, and we're looking for new interns to join us in the fall! Keep checking back on our website as well as Facebook and Twitter for more updates, information and news on the program and when it will launch! So if this sounds like something you would love to get involved with we'd love to hear from you!

Members In Action Spotlight
Every month HCAM will be highlighting a member of our community "in action." These members are working with and at HCAM as producers of their own shows, hosts, and editors.

Our first member in action for the month of July was Liz Fuller, host and producer of the new show "The Lipstick Lounge." Fuller's new show premiered July 21st on HCAM's public channels (Comcast 97, Verizon 31). "The Lipstick Lounge" is a show about all things make-up - what colors and products work best for different skin tones, how to do your make-up for a job interview as opposed to doing your make-up for going out to dinner with friends, ETC... Liz also provides helpful tips on which products are best and how to apply them correctly. For more playback info on this show check out HCAM's Program Guide.

Our August member of the month is intern Cooper Nisbet. Cooper joined the HCAM family a few months ago because he has a passion for TV. Cooper will be going into his senior year of high school this fall but hopes that when he goes off to college next year that he can pursue a career in TV production. Since being with HCAM, he has filmed and edited a promotional video and he was also one of the camera operator's on Liz's show mentioned above. Check out this picture of Cooper interviewing another HCAM intern, Jake, on his experience with HCAM thus far!
4th of July Parade Rain and Road Race Souvenirs

Friday July 4th, Hingham held its annual Fourth of July day parade and despite the heavy rain parade goers did not let it ruin their holiday. With their umbrellas up and rain jackets zipped, dozens of people gathered on the sidewalks in Downtown Hingham and Hingham Center to watch the floats ride by. HCAM was there at the very start of the day filming the road race and the parade from beginning to end. The parade, road race, and fireworks are airing all month long on HCAM's public channels and for more details about playback times and dates please check out our Program Guide. If you can't watch us on any of our channels,  you can visit our Youtube page where you can watch the parade and our coverage of numerous events in and around Hingham. Also, if you or a loved one participated in this year's road race HCAM would love to gift you with a souvenir. All you have to do is tweet us at @hcam_tv with your finish time and we'll in return tweet you the photo of you or your loved one crossing the finish line.

If you'd like to see more of HCAM's pictures from the parade or get the latest updates about what's happening at our station, check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and  Instagram.
