Hello Members...
Well here it is — the middle of July and our area is bustling with activity! Our phone is ringing nonstop with people coming to our region and looking for information, our visitor's centers are full from open to close every day, (3,500 guests stopped by our village visitor's center over the 4th of July weekend alone), and our website and facebook page are flooded with inquiries as well. 

Check out the events schedule below (and our website for additional info) for all the great things happening over the next two weeks! Please feel free to share this information AND our website with all of your guests.

Join us, if you can, at our upcoming Ribbon Cuttings. It is encouraging to our new members and their staff to see fellow chamber members present and excited about their new ventures.

Upcoming Ribbon Cuttings:

  • Saturday, July 15th @ Skyzone Trampoline Park (235 Corinth Road, Queensbury) 
    Ceremony: 11:00am

  • Thursday, July 20th @ Mazzone Hospitality (located inside the Courtyard Marriott -365 Canada Street). Ceremony: 4 p.m. welcome remarks. 4:30pm ribbon cutting. Reception to follow/

  • Wednesday, July 26th @ Adirondack Winery Bolton Tasting Room (4971 Lake Shore Drive). Ceremony: 11 a.m. Enjoy free wine tastings and artisan local food samples all day long.

  • Thursday, July 27th @ Adirondack Custom Creations (1775 State Route 9) Ceremony: 3 p.m. Reception to follow

The  EVP Queen of the Lakes Pro Am Beach Volleyball Tournament is here! We have a team participating in the Corporate Challenge Friday at Million Dollar Beach.

  • The Chamber office now has awesome LGRCC hats for sale for $15.
    Choose from navy blue or beige, one size fits all (adjustable in back). Cost is $15.  We also have stickers for $1

  • Lavenlair Farm is hosting their first "Farm to Fork" pop up dinner on Sunday, July 30th. Cash Bar Cocktail Hour 5:30-6:30 p.m. Seating for dinner at 6:30 p.m. Space is extremely limited. Call 518-656-0122 for complete details, pricing and to reserve your seat at the table!

  • The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB is a sponsor of the King George Fishing Derby this year. The derby is Sept. 15 to 17 this year. Online registration is open! Click here for details.

  • Reach more people by advertising on our website. We have new monthly rates if you only want to advertise for a month.   • The Student Connection, a resource for foreign students working here for the summer, is now located in the Visitor Center on Beach Road that we operate. If you offer or know of any housing available for these students, PLEASE call us! 

  • Painted Pony Championship Rodeo has started their summer season! We're looking forward to having a chamber night there on Friday, August 18.   • If you're headed out on the lake and realize you don't have enough life jackets for the children in your boat, head to Freedom Boat Club, which is taking part in a life jacket loaner program in an effort to help keep kids safe on the water.
  •   The Adirondack Wine & Food Festival sold nearly 6,000 tickets this year! Read about what they changed and the demographics of visitors they brought in by clicking here. They estimate the festival resulted in 3,380 room nights booked int he Lake George region this year!

  • The weather was beautiful for Lake George Land Conservancy's 5th Annual Hike-A-Thon on July 5! 
Hundreds of people including locals and visitors took to 17 sites this year for the event. Chamber Marketing Director Amanda Metzger volunteered as the "sweeper" on the hike at the LGLC Preserve  Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob. The LGLC's work to preserve the land around the lake is crucial to maintaining the water quality of Lake George.
  • Lake George's first outdoor film festival was rescheduled from July 10 & 11 to July 23 & 24. Gates open at 7 p.m. Film screening on a giant inflatable screen will start around 8 p.m. A total of 12 films will be screened over two days. Tickets are only $5 and will be available at the gates. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets.


  • The Safe Boating Initiative posters (see image above) are in. We have about a dozen available on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you'd like one, please call Amanda Metzger at 668-5755.
