Ellin Lieberman

Ellin grew up with music and theater as a special part of her family's life. She started going to Carnegie Hall as a child and took music lessons for years. As a history and literature major in college (despite being pre-med) she always insisted on fine writing and was the editor of many medical articles throughout her professional career.

Her devotion to the visual arts became palpable when we retired and I devoted myself to painting. She was my muse and my most helpful critic.

It was Ellin's idea to hold our annual art show to raise money for the victims of hurricane Katrina  and to include the works of students at South Pasadena High.

We have been subscribers to the Los Angeles Philharmonic for over 25 years and were on the board of the Pasadena Young Musicians Orchestra.
