All These Things Jesus Has Done
With palms in their hands, the people who had gathered for the Passover welcome Jesus into Jerusalem.  They are right to do so.  He is the king.  Once in the city, the king does not go directly to his throne, the visible representation of his authority, instead he cleanses the temple of the evil that is occurring in his Father's house, he preaches and teaches the true faith, he celebrates the Lord's Supper with his disciples, he is betrayed, he is arrested, he is falsely convicted of blasphemy, and then he is brought to his throne, that is the cross, where He dies for the sins of the world.  Having made the proper sacrifice for sin, he rests on the Sabbath day. On the third day, he rises from the grave having put death to death!  All these things Jesus has done.  He has done them for us and for our salvation.  God's blessings on your holy week.
