One Lenten Lunch Left- Help!
Please consider providing or teaming up with a friend to provide a lunch during Lent. We still have one Wednesday, 22 March available. Lenten Lunch attendance is around 20 people and requires set-up before the noon service lets out and subsequent clean-up directly after. If you are able to help, please contact the church office at 713 782 6079.
From the Pastor
Not to Judge the World
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." John 3:16-17
God coming to man is a real concern. We are sinners. He is God. If we had to guess the reason for God's coming to us in the flesh, many would no doubt say: "to judge us."
Jesus tells us that He was sent to this world not to judge the world, but to save the world. To save the world from the consequences of our sin and failure to keep the Law by taking on the burden of the Law and fulfilling it perfectly in our place. Because of Christ's life, his death, and his resurrection we have been saved.
