From the Pastor
The Triduum
What kind of service ends without our receiving a blessing? The services of the Triduum. The what? The Triduum: "The Three Days." These are the days of Good Friday through Easter, including the Vigil of Easter. Why don't we get a benediction until the Feast of Easter? The answer is simple, because the church has always thought of the services of the three days as a single service; a single event culminating in the resurrection of our Lord. These services all hang together. We wait with Him but one little hour that we might gather at the door of death to see with the disciples the power of His indestructible life. And then we will receive His blessing.
