Special Voters' Assembly
We will hold a Special Voters' Assembly THIS Sunday 29 January 2017, following late service (~12:30 PM) to vote on a call candidate for the MLS headmaster position. We will convene in the Sanctuary.
From the Pastor
Be Blessed! (Matthew 5:1-12)
If the human condition becomes the subject of an action, we may end up with the law. If God becomes the subject of a positive condition in people, we will arrive at the gospel. In the beatitudes, God's blessedness comes first. Blessedness simply means possessing the favor of God. Then follows the improved human condition. Human condition doesn't change the blessedness, but God's blessedness can change the human condition. That's why although Christians face persecution and suffering in this world, their blessedness that comes from Christ doesn't change. Our ultimate reward will be in Heaven; Therefore, be blessed
! Amen.
The last few Mays, we held blood drives and MLC members had all-time record donations. We're changing it up and holding our blood drive in February.
One of our very own, Marcheta Beasely, recently went through successful heart surgery. This blood drive will be in her honor. Let's give thanks for her health- please consider donating blood on Sunday 12 February. Mark your calendar- sign-up starting this weekend between services or call/email Tessa.
If you have suggestions about things that you'd like to see in the Memorial Messenger, please let the office staff know. We would love to hear from you.
