Pastor Murray and Vicar will be  team teaching:
Making Lutheranism Great Again: The Formula of Concord.
After the death of Luther, there was theological uncertainty and division among Lutherans. This uncertainty and division was resolved by a clear confession of our faith in the Formula of Concord in 1577. In our day, surrounded as we are by debates and uncertainties, the Formula of Concord is again a wonderful resource for theological learning and biblical understanding.
We need your help!
If you are able to help provide a meal, please contact Mike Jeffers, Fellowship chair or the church office 713 782 6079.
From the Vicar
Clean
How can we become clean? We're not talking about taking showers every day or brushing our teeth. We're talking about being clean in God's sight.
We might try to remain clean by avoiding certain foods or sinful actions. Such attempts become futile when we are the unclean thing. Jesus points us to the true source of our uncleanliness, our sinful hearts.
But Jesus takes care of our unclean hearts by granting us His holiness. He covers us with His holiness in Baptism. He cleanses us with the touch of His holy body and blood. Christ makes us clean before God.
