From the Pastor
As they went to Jerusalem for the great feast of Passover, the crowds showered Jesus with shouts of "Hosanna" and "blessed is He who comes in the Lord."
They knew of Jesus' preaching and teaching, healings, feedings, and even the raising of Lazarus from the dead.  With good reason they lined the way to Jerusalem with palm branches and received Jesus as their king.
Little did they know that in five days Jesus would be arrested and put on trial.  By the end of that day (Good Friday), Jesus would die on the cross.
Were the crowds wrong to hail Jesus as their king?  They may have thought so after his death, but they were not wrong.  This Jesus is the blessed one who comes in the name of the Lord.  He is the King.  Yet, his kingdom is not established in power, but in death...even death upon a cross.
God's blessing to you this Holy Week while you consider the King and his death for sinners.

What's New Telugu?
The Telugu community here at MLC feel privileged to be able to celebrate their own culture at Memorial! While the Telugu people actively try to assimilate into our congregation, they have a wonderful opportunity to eat their food, wear their clothes, and speak their language.  They appreciate the ability to celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries, and special functions together.  A majority of Telugu people understand English and are growing in God's Word because of the quality, time, and discipline spent in the worship services and Adult Instruction. Thanks be to God! Our hearty thanks for all the saints at Memorial who made this possible! Please don't forget to read the Telugu financial updates in the bulletin. Our goal is to raise $ 15,000 by the end of April. We need your prayers, support, and encouragement for this vital ministry at Memorial.
God's Rich Blessings,
Pastor Pilli.
