From the Pastor
He Does it All
By nature, man is incapable of hearing the Word of God and believing in Him! Neither does he acquire eternal life on his own because of a defect in his nature. Lutheran confessions employed a special Latin term namely,"concupiscence" (lust) to explain the defect in man's character. When Jesus said to them to look on Him and believe in Him to have eternal life, He does not mean that they should acquire those merits on their own. It means that He will grant those gifts to them freely so that they may receive. The gifts of Word, faith, and life flow from Him to us. The living bread comes to us. He does it all! Amen.
Sunday's Scripture Readings & Hymns

Hymns: LSB   724 (1-5),  534, 775, 774, 642, 724 (6-10)
What's New Telugu??
Our chief objective is to establish a strong Confessional Lutheran Telugu community in our midst. We continue to do just that! After a brief hiatus, we have restarted our Sunday meal program for Telugu community. Currently, various members of our community have provided the meal. We have also started collecting freewill offering toward each meal. Each Sunday meal for nearly 35 people costs around $300. If you are interested in donating toward the meal or joining us for delicious Indian food, you are most welcome to do so. Those who donate will be acknowledged on our official Facebook page. Thank you for your continued support!
Got Coffee Skills??
We are looking for a coffee fellowship volunteer to make coffee on the second Sunday of every month. This entails making multiple pots of coffee in preparation for the time period between the services.   For more information contact Mike Jeffers (Fellowship Chair).
If you have suggestions about things that you'd like to see in the Memorial Messenger, please let the office staff know. We would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Scott R. Murray
