From the Pastor
He Will Swallow Up Death Forever
As we get closer to the end of the church calendar, we begin to read some of the best passages concerning our Lord's return and the Last Day.  Consider these words from Isaiah, chapter 25:

"And He will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is case over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.  He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces..."

With these words, God directs us to that promised day when the good established by the death and the resurrection of the Christ will be given in full.  We know from Jesus' own preaching and teaching that He has already conquered evil, yet we still see evil at work in our lives and in this world. When the Last Day arrives, when Jesus appears, all that is associated with sin, including death itself, will come to an end forever.
