Pastor Ian S. Pacey to be Installed 19 January
Pastor Ian S. Pacey of Tucson, AZ arrived in Houston on 13 January with his wife, Clarissa and children, Rachel and Kirk. Rachel and Kirk are settling into Memorial Lutheran School. Upon meeting Kirk in the school hall, he told Pastor Murray, "My dad will be preaching with you." Pastor Pacey will be installed in a Vespers service on 19 January at 4:00 PM. A Texas barbecue dinner will follow in the fellowship hall to welcome Pr. Pacey and his family. Congregation members may also express their welcome by contributing a gift card to their favorite restaurant or Houston retail outlet to be collected by the Lutheran Women in Mission. Te Deum Laudamus!
From the Pastor
Exciting Time!
Epiphany focuses the church on the mission of proclaiming the gospel to all the world. We are doing that at Memorial Lutheran Church; through our foreign missionaries, Pastor St-Onge (East Asia) and Pastor Wokoma (Nigeria), through our domestic missionaries, Pastor Pilli (Telugu), Pastor Heine (MLS), and Pastor Pacey and Pastor Murray (English). It is exciting to be involved in so many ministries! Our ministry centered here in Houston is growing in every way. This year our average weekly worship attendance grew from 430 to 441 per week. Our Epiphany mission is to proclaim the Light in the darkness and bring those whom the Light has claimed to our church. A young guest told me about you, "Everyone made me feel very welcome!" Keep sharing the Light and welcoming those whom He brings (2Co 4:4-6).
Who's New?

Kristen Granzow came to Memorial from Hubbard, Iowa after she decided to transfer her job offer to Houston in order to live in a bigger city and warmer climate.  Upon hearing of her transfer, the vicar at her home congregation recommended MLC to her and she attended services once she moved to Houston.

Kristen is a new graduate working as an auditor for PriceWaterhouseCooper. In her free time, she enjoys reading, biking, and traveling.   She is currently exploring all there is in Houston and Texas.

Kristen has been attending our young adult Bible study and Adult Instruction. She will be joining MLC officially on New Member Sunday. Please say hello to Kristen if you see her around MLC.
