 Knowing Jesus
"And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent"(John 17:3). The Gospel of John is all about knowing God. Throughout John's Gospel, we learn that in order to know God, we must know Jesus Christ. To know Jesus Christ isn't an intellectual endeavor, but one of faith. This faith is only given to us through the waters of Holy Baptism. Through those waters we know Christ, and learn the forgiveness of sins and life he gives us. We will live with Christ forever. To know Christ is to have eternal life.

Who's New?
Swaraj Reddy is from Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. Swaraj has a wife and two children living in India.
He was born in a Hindu family, but developed a deep interest in the Christian church. He had been attending church in India previously but life brought him to Texas where he unexpectedly met Pastor Sagar Pilli. Soon after, Swaraj started attending classes at Memorial and learned the major differences between Hinduism and Christianity. Swaraj has a great respect for Christianity and Western culture and gradually made a shift from many gods to One God, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit! He has confessed Jesus as his personal Savior, has affirmed the Lutheran faith, and wants to be baptized at Memorial. Swaraj is very spiritual and wants to be in the service of God.

Parents: 2014 Summer Sunday School
For the summer Sunday school quarter, June 1st- August 31st, please note the following changes to your child's classroom assignment. We will be combining classes. There will not be an opening for the 2's, 3's and 4's. Parents, please walk your child(ren) to their Sunday school classroom.
Children in Kindergarten -5th start off in the music room with Cantor Muth then will be dismissed to their class.
