The Quempas Carol is a beautiful tradition dating back to Medieval times. The choir is stationed at the four corners of the sanctuary, symbolizing the proclamation of the Good News of Christ's birth to the four corners of the world. Part of the choir also sings the story of Christ's birth from the balcony. This is a simple, beautiful way to sing with the choir! If you are interested in singing the Quempas Carol at the 10:00 PM candlelight Service on Christmas Eve, or would like more information, please contact Cantor Muth via email  or at 713 782 6079. Older children and adults are encouraged to participate!
From the Pastor
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."  In the season of Advent, we remember the coming of our Lord, who took on human flesh so that He might die and win for us our salvation.  Our preparation for the coming of Jesus is to hear God's words, especially those of John, the Baptizer, which call us all to repentance.  Repentance always has two parts.  The first part is to confess our sins against God and against the neighbor.  This confession reveals our need.  We need forgiveness.  The second part of repentance is to trust that God has forgiven us because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who came to us in the flesh. God's blessings on your Advent preparation!
