Season of Growth

I have appreciated our regular rains this summer. After some years of dry weather, we are experiencing a better pattern. The result is that the lawns and gardens are green and healthy looking. I love the verdant beauty of this growth. This season of the church year is known for its time of quiet, long-term growth. The altar paraments are green for a reason. It fits very well with the text in which Jesus will say, "A sower went out to sow..." (Matthew 13:3). Be in the Word of God for a season of growth.

Who's New?

Daniel Frisby was born 5 March 2014 to the Frisby family and baptized 6 April 2014 here at MLC. His parents, Katie and Jordan, his older brother, Luke, and his grandparents, Ken and Julie Zimmerman are all also MLC members. Katie and her parents have been members since she began attending Pre-K in the school. Jordan joined in May 2012 around the time Daniel's older brother, Luke, was baptized. Daniel loves to be talked to, watch Luke run around, go on walks, play with Sophie the Giraffe (and anything else he can grab and stick in his mouth), and listen to music (especially "I am Jesus' Little Lamb"). He is a very calm and happy baby.

Welcome to MLC, Daniel!
