Vicar Installation
Vicar Richardson will be installed during early and late services on 2 July. Please join us between the services for a casual breakfast to greet our new vicar. To help make this possible the fellowship board is asking for breakfast casseroles. The casseroles will need to be delivered either before or during early service. Please contact Mike Jeffers  or the church office 713 782 6079 if you are able to provide a casserole or if you can help assist with set-up or clean-up.
From the Pastor
Servants
Jesus says: "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master" (Mt 10:24). This fact is a double-edged sword. Think of how they treated our Master, Jesus. What makes us think that it will be any different than us? This is why His disciples run and hide after Jesus is arrested. They know what's coming. And come it does; but only after their life's work is done; years later. They proclaim the life of crucified and resurrected Lord. There is also comfort here. When we suffer for the Master, we are being shaped like His servants and therefore, sharing in His suffering. Let us follow you, Master, to our cross.
