Be Strong in the Lord and Stand
In this Sunday's reading from Ephesians, we are called to "be strong in the Lord" and "to stand." Why do we need to be strong and stand? We need to be strong and stand because of the assaults that we receive in this life from the devil, from the world, and from our own sinful flesh.
The calling to be strong and to stand is not a mere encouragement to do our best. Rather, God calls us to be strong and stand in what is identified in the reading as the "whole armor of God." What is this armor of God? It is: truth, righteousness, readiness in the Gospel, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (all goods established and granted to us for Jesus' sake).
By way of these means, the Lord protects and preserves us through this life unto everlasting life. For this protection and for the one who provides it, namely Jesus, we offer our thanks.

What's New Telugu
The MLC Telugu community is steadily growing and members are mutually encouraging and supporting one another  as we worship together.  Pastor Pilli is strongly encouraging Telugu community members to attend the Telugu Adult Sunday school between the worship services.  The Telugu ministry continues to meet regularly at 12:30 PM after service for food and fellowship. Our Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/teluguhou ) is helping us to connect with more people out in the community by advertising our events. Some of our members suggested designing a website for our ministry. We are in the process of gathering resources and ideas so that we may begin this project in the near future. Please remember our financial needs as we prepare for the busy season. Our immediate financial need is $ 5,500. We sincerely appreciate your prayers and encouragement as we reach out to Telugu people with the good news of Jesus Christ. Rich blessings on you and your family.  Pastor Pilli.
If you have suggestions about things that you'd like to see in the Memorial Messenger, please let the office staff know. We would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Scott R. Murray
