The All-Important Details
Have you ever heard the phrase, "the devil is in the details"? It's used to express the view that if you look too closely you will find something you may not like. And so, some people (even some Christians) think that over analyzing the Bible will result in its "truths" being falsified. Like the argument, that "Jesus never calls himself the Son of God; well maybe he's not then." This is of course ridiculous.

Our Gospel text in Mark, where Jesus cleanses the man with an unclean spirit, tackles this in a brilliant way. The unclean spirit, yes an enemy of God, makes the confession that Jesus is the "Holy One of God"! Demons themselves acknowledge the truth of Christ as the Lord of all; amazing!

Every nook and cranny of scripture reveals the truth of Jesus Christ as the Savior of humanity. We need not fear the discovery of errors or contradictions; there are none, just more truth. So you see, the devil isn't in the details, but rather, the all-important details can be found even in the devil.

Telugu Ministry Update
The Telugu people are very blessed and privileged to be connected to Memorial Lutheran Church.  A new development this year for the Telugu Ministry is some adults started attending Adult Instruction.  This is significant because they learn God's Word and the Christian doctrine along with the rest of the community. Please continue to read the Telugu Ministry updates in the weekly Sunday bulletin.  Our first financial goal is to raise $ 5,000 in February.  I request your continuous prayers, support, and encouragement for this vital ministry at Memorial.
In Christ,
Pastor Sagar Pilli
