The Power of Weakness
The confession of St. Peter can easily be turned into a "job well done" for humanity. However, this denies the Holy Spirit as the source of this great confession. We tend to ignore the magnificence of God's workings in us and in our world.
For example, in Mark 9, Jesus says that some of you will live long enough to see the Kingdom of God come with power. Is this true? The apostles are all dead and yet we still live in this veil of tears. So where is this Kingdom coming with its power? God's glory and power can be so difficult for us to grasp at times.
Yet, the truth is so simple. It is the crucifixion; where all the power of God is raised up for the salvation of the whole world. Jesus is the very Kingdom of God and he ushers in the new creation for all those believing in him on the cross in perfect weakness. There is no greater glory or power than the weakness of God.

Telugu Ministry Update
The MLC Telugu Ministry is steadily progressing. We were very productive with the Telugu community in 2014 and nearly one hundred people attended our annual Telugu Christmas gathering. Many opportunities for receiving sound Christian teaching are now available for Telugu people. Beginning this weekend, Telugu Ministry financial updates will be published in the Sunday bulletin. Our first financial goal is to raise $5,000 by February 2015. I ask for your continuous prayers, support, and encouragement for this vital ministry at Memorial.
In Christ,
Pastor Sagar Pilli
