From the Vicar
The Trinity
The cross unfolds the Trinity. It opens up the Father's beating heart, demonstrates the Son's servanthood, and broadcasts the Spirit's testimony that you are begotten through blood and water poured from the side of your crucified Savior. You cross yourself in the name of the Father, Son, and Spirit inherited in Baptism, your birth from above. The Father feeds you your daily bread, your Lord's body and blood, in the Spirit's holy communion. The Trinity will remain a blurry picture unless the lens of Christ's cross corrects your vision. Your Father, therefore, sends you crosses that send you to your Lord's cross, where the Trinity comes to rest in the empty hands of beggar sinners. At the cross, the Trinity speaks and testifies to what they know and see: your life, righteousness, and sanctification, unfolded to faith.
