"... if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his [the sinner's] soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." -James 5 With these words from James, we are reminded of a few, very important things. First, we are reminded of the fact that truth exists. The truth about who God is and what he has done is not something we make up, but already exists and is revealed to us. We are also reminded of the truth that human sin exists and that our sins are worthy of God's condemnation. Finally, we are reminded of the truth that God calls sinners to repentance through pastors, family, and friends. He then brings us to trust the fact that he has forgiven us our sins for Christ's sake.

Got Rummage?
LWIM Annual
Rummage Sale
Saturday, 10 October
8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Lutheran Women in Mission's Annual Rummage Sale is just around the corner, and we are accepting donations! We are accepting gently used items starting 4 October. Unfortunately we have nowhere to store items prior to this date. Clean out your closets, garage, storage rooms, and bedrooms and donate your excess to our sale. Here are a few points to consider when selecting items:
Clothing should be free from stains, tears, and fading.
Electronics need to be in good working order.
Writing and office materials should be unused.
Toys need to be in good working order and not missing any pieces.
Furniture and household items must be functioning properly.
All money raised from the Rummage Sale will be donated to Lutheran Missions. Any questions, please contact Heather Coulter: 832 687 6465.
LWIM appreciates your support and prayers!

What's New Telugu?
As our Telugu community is growing, our members are starting to attend children's Sunday school, adult Bible classes, confirmation class, and Adult Instruction. In September, we baptized 3 people who received new life in Christ. Our community is very encouraged and thankful to the church for the opportunities of worship and fellowship. We sincerely appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and support as we reach out to Telugu people with the good news of Jesus Christ. Rich blessings on you and your families.
