What Is Predestination For?
The Bible certainly teaches predestination to salvation (Eph 1:4-6). But what is the purpose of the Bible's teaching? It is simply and solely to comfort Christian believers with the overwhelming love and compassion of God. In the midst of the struggles of faith and trials of weakness, we Christians are able to retreat to the divine promise both our predestination to salvation and the temporal outworking of God's eternal plan to save us in the person of His Son, who dies on the cross of Calvary for sinners like us. Both this plan and our own persons were in the heart and mind of God from before the creation. Predestination is for our comfort.

Position Available
Memorial Lutheran Church & School is seeking to hire a Director of Finance and Administration. Interested parties should possess a degree in Business or Accounting and have experience as a controller or accounting manager with full accounting and financial reporting responsibility.

This position will manage all of the business and financial aspects of the church and school (EC-8th), overseeing a staff of six administrative professionals while reporting to the church's Board of Finance and Senior Pastor.

Knowledge of non-profit accounting procedures, Quickbooks, and LCMS theological tenets are preferred.
