Why ?
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?" (Romans 10:14)
Jesus death and resurrection are not things any one of us could have figured out on our own. The death and resurrection of our Lord are facts or historical truths that had to be revealed to us by another.
Having said that, simply knowing Jesus died and rose from the grave is not enough. In addition to knowing the facts, we need to know why our Lord died and rose.
Why did Jesus die and rise from the grave? He did both to satisfy the wrath of God due to sinners and to bring everlasting life with God in its place.
You now have the forgiveness of sins and life with God all because of Jesus and what he has done for you!"

Replacement of Paraments
We are seeking to replace all of our paraments starting with our Advent Paraments this fall. Our paraments are around 40-50 years old and are starting to show their age. In particular, our Advent paraments are currently blue and we are replacing them with the more traditional violet paraments. We hope to order the Advent paraments by the end of September 2014 as they require about 8 weeks to be made and Advent will be here before we know it. Our goal is $8,000 to replace the full Advent set of chasuble, stoles, altar paraments, the veil, the burse, and 2 banners. If you can help with reaching our goal, please write your checks to MLC with the memo line "Advent Paraments" or if you have any questions, please contact Martha Fredenburg at: [email protected].
