Beatnik Celebration
 

This may be the beginning of an annual August tradition: the celebration of Beat writers and beatniks. In any case, we had the first one in Aug 2013, and the second one is coming up!

Fri Aug 22 at 7:30p; fireplace area of the sanctuary. Bring a favorite poem -- or your own composition or by someone else -- and come to the Beat Coffeehouse. We'll have poetry reading, some folk singing, decaf coffee -- and maybe some bongos if we can find a set.

Sun Aug 24: Meredith's Sunday sermon will reflect on the enduring message for us of Jack Kerouac's On the Road.
