Merry Christmas From Friendship Church
December 23, 2015
Christmas Eve Services
Thu., Dec. 24, 4:00 and 7:00pm
One of our favorite traditions: Gathering with our church family, a quiet telling of the real Christmas story, singing our favorite carols, welcoming the light of Christ to our world - and to our lives. Make it a priority to attend one of the services, 4 or 7pm. The offering this evening will be dedicated to help the poor through our benevolence fund and through the ministry of the local Salvation Army.

Christmas Message Series
We have lots of expectations and ambitions around Christmas. We say, "This will be the best Christmas ever!", or, "If I could just duplicate that special Christmas again."  So we plan, and work, and spend - is that what Christmas is about? One is simple, clear, uncomplicated. One is obvious, easy, and pure. In One Christmas we emphasize that everyone is important and that one person can make a difference   Join us Sundays at 9:00 or 10:45am and discover the simplicity and joy of the One Christmas story.

Growing in Prayer
Prayer is like our other skills or abilities and depends on observing, learning, and practicing.   One of the great prayer training opportunities is the Prayer meeting on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 6:30pm. You may come and watch, listen, agree with other's prayers, share your prayer as others agree with you.  There isn't a proscribed formula for prayer. As you practice prayer more you will find your own style and passion. Our next meeting will be Tues.  Jan. 12 at 6:30pm  in the Kid City room. The meeting will last approximately an hour. If you have questions, or if you would like more information, contact Hannu and Mary Pennanen at (734) 495-1772.

Promiseland
Advetureland (Pre-K)

Learn how you can provide assistance to classroom teachers and care for preschoolers. Contact Lisa Pepper  (734-417-4321  text/cell or   pepper.lisa4life@gmail.com for more info on how you can try this ministry out, with no strings attached. One of our experienced leaders will walk you through, explaining how things work and enabling you to experience Adventureland and what serving with us entails.

Kid City (1st - 3rd Grade)

Current Series: Nature of God
Children will be exposed to these truths to combat any false perceptions they may have of God's   Fatherhood because of what they have experienced in their family relationships. They will be given an opportunity to see if they have opened their hearts, their minds, and their lives to the redemptive power of Christ and the Holy Spirit in order to identify as and be known as the sons and daughters of God.

I mpact (4th & 5th Grade)
Current Series:
Star of Bethlehem
When students think about who God is, what comes to their minds? They might think of God as some old man with a gray beard and a walking stick. Maybe He's sitting on a soft, cottony cloud far off in the sky somewhere barely involved in their lives.  This four-part series called Star Of Bethlehem looks at who God really is by watching the lives of some kids who find themselves in a play about the first Christmas.

Parents: you can access the teaching videos, challenge cards, bible stories and music that your child engages with at Kid City & Impact.  You can even download coloring pages and activity guides to do at home with your family. Don't forget to explore the Parent Resources to find books, small group studies and other videos to help you as you lead your child to be a fully devoted follower of Christ. -To learn more about the lesson or to re-watch episode visit  HERE .

We offer three ways to give financially to support the ministry of Friendship Church.

If you contribute electronically or via Text and want to participate as an act of worship during the service, pick up a yellow Alternate Giving Card from the rear table and place it in the bag.  There is no need to write anything on the card, your gift is recorded when we receive it electronically.  Cards will be recycled each week.
