You can't spell HEART without ART!
Did you know that February is American Heart Month? Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease. But all of this can be prevented by making small changes in your everyday life. Let's recognize heart health this month, and every month, and celebrate our bodies!
"Heart to Heart" by Maggie Tomei: Inner Workings exhibit.
"Caged Heart Exposed" by Carol Martin-Davis: Inner Workings exhibit.
"Endless Passion" by Gilbert Candelaria: Inner Workings exhibit.
"The Mending Heart" by Jocelyn Warner: Inner Workings exhibit.

Spirit Lines
The Fuller Lodge Art Center is currently seeking artwork for the next exhibit,
Spirit Lines.
Find beauty in the broken and imperfect in the tradition of Wabi Sabi.

Art in Public Places
This Open Call for Art from the Art in Public Places Board solicits artwork that enhances the county's public art collection while engaging or reflecting the community and its unique character. The board is particularly interested in projects using non-traditional forms and media, including creative lighting and interactive or functional sculptural or tech-art. Large, outdoor, and/or conceptual pieces are welcome, as well as artwork that augments an existing feature or space or integrates with upcoming county projects.

Recognize this place? It's the work of Colin Selig, located right outside of the Community Building/Teen Center!
