Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our eighth graders had an excellent field trip last week to Washington, DC. We are pleased to announce that they all made it back. Now they need to take their MNWEA MAP testing and they need to review for their final exams. Now is the time to buckle down. We award various scholarships at Awards Night and Graduation.
We went through 13 cases of water at the KIDSFEST. So many people showed an interest in our school. Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Butterworth did an excellent job in co-chairing the event. We wish to thank our teachers: Mrs. White, Mrs. Dick, Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Harvey and our parent volunteer Mrs. Harrington. It was my first KIDSFEST and it was fun, a little cold, but a great opportunity to meet and publicize our school.
We have been giving tours and people definitely want to come. It's a sacrifice. We have re-sent our flyers to Daycares and Christian and Catholic Churches. Our lawn signs are up and in libraries and markets. Please pray for increased enrollment.
As I write this bulletin notice our students took their panoramic picture and our eighth graders took their group graduation pictures. It's really hard to believe that they only have weeks left. Where did the year go?
Our eighth grade student, Aiden Wilcox, was honored at the State House awards in the Level 2 category (ten students). He ranked in the top one percent of students in his category. Congratulations Aiden!
Our PTO has done an outstanding job this year under the presidency of Kendra Langevin. Some of their major contributions went towards providing: busses for field trips, teacher classroom needs, fans for the gym, volleyball net and balls, hula hoops and so much more. They also provided fun family events throughout the school year ie. Spring Fling. Monday night will be the PTO's last meeting for this year. We are asking all PTO members to please come at 6:30. It's election night for the PTO officers of 2017-2018.
