We're all so fortunate to enjoy the luxury of many musical choices, indoors and out, now that summer weather has arrived. I hope to have the pleasure of seeing you and playing some jazz for you, along with my colleagues, at one or more of the events below.  
Wednesday, June 8 • 6:00-9:00 p.m. • Burlington Waterfront • Breakwaters Bar and Grill •  IN THE POCKET plays swinging, accessible, musical jazz at an iconic setting for the Discover Jazz Festival.  Join us (Erik Anderson, Michael Carrese, David Epstein, Chris Frieman, Michael LeStrange, Leo O'Reilly, George Voland) as we play instrumentals and vocalist Michael L. channels the music of Frank Sinatra for you and the                                                              folks who arrive by LCT Ferry from Port Kent.
Saturday, June18 • noon-8:00 p.m. • Hartland JazzFest • Hartland, VT • Featuring Freddie Bryant and the Armen Donelian Trio; the New England Conservatory Jazz Honors Ensemble 2016; the 17-piece Keene Jazz Orchestra; Maple Jam (eight a cappella voices); and Interplay Jazz  All Stars (with whom I'll be playing) ...  PLUS the annual all-star jam organized by Billy Rosen AND a dance party with Carlos Ocasio & Frydaddy. Between sets, you’ll enjoy Jody Henderson’s Woodstock High School and Middle School JazzFunk Bands. This is great jazz in a community setting that welcomes you and keeps you comfortable under a tent, come rain or come shine.
Sunday, June 19-Saturday, June 25 • daily performances in the Upper Valley and Woodstock, VT   Interplay Jazz and Arts  • World class professionals and their amazing jazz students of all ages give you the gift of music each day for a full week. They'll be accompanied by visual artists and writers who also spend the week immersed in their art and craft in the vibrant community that has been Interplay for 20 years. Sunday, June 26 • 5:30-8:00 p.m. • Hinesburgh Public House, Hinesburg •  George Voland JAZZ: with Paul Asbell (guitar), Chris Peterman (saxes), Clyde Stats(bass), and George Voland (valve trombone). With June and summer doing their prolific botanical magic, we four will do our jazzational magic for you as well, and it all takes place in a welcoming and delicious setting in the heart of a Vermont village.
