The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine Dean Search Committee met on March 14
.
The search, thus far, is on time and progressing well.
With the position profile now having been completed (see links below), the Committee discussed the work to be done between now and the initial "paper" review of candidates, which is currently scheduled for the first week of May.
Our Witt Kieffer consultants participated by telephone and all are comfortable with both the timeline and work to be accomplished prior to that date.
The Committee also heard a presentation from the College's legal counsel about all the necessary steps and processes such that the search process and Committee members remain in complete compliance with current State of Florida law.
Faculty Effort Reporting Dashboard Update
Our department chairs reviewed the faculty effort reporting dashboard project in their recent meetings. Next, faculty will receive their individual dashboards. We will have these distributed next week. Faculty will have time to review their dashboards, a key and the explainer document and then schedule time to review the reports with their chairs.
Our fourth-year medical students will find out Friday, March 18, where they will match for residency. Please join us at 11:30 a.m. in the Live Oak Pavilion. We'll have photos and details from the event posted to our
