To date, Cultural Affairs has awarded over $10 million in grants to approximately 130 diverse not-for-profit arts groups, which contribute so richly to the artistic landscape of the City, proving that the Council plays an integral leadership role in supporting, promoting and advocating the unique and extensive scope of cultural offerings in Miami Beach.

The Golem of Havana tells the story of a Hungarian-Jewish family living in Batista's Havana on the brink of the Cuban Revolution. He initially gained popularity by means of his video "Pop Culture", a mash-up of nearly forty different popular songs in real-time using a MIDI controller, which was published to YouTube and subsequently received millions of hits in its first few days of broadcast on the Internet.

The artist, author and illustrator is best known for his drawings on The New York Times OP-ED page. The exhibition features Podwal's drawings and paintings of historical threats of antisemitism, combined with verses from the Book of Psalms. With so many recent incidents of antisemitic acts throughout Europe and the U.S., and even right here in Florida, the topic has never been so relevant.

Sylvie Fleury is known for her seductive works that re-contextualize status symbols, luxury goods and brand slogans.
