Centenary University IHSA Team Coach Michael Dowling Returns
as Clinician for the 2018 College Preparatory Invitational

Miami, Florida - November 6, 2017 - Centenary University's IHSA Team Coach and Professor Michael Dowling has agreed to return as clinician for the College Prep Invitational horse show weekend, January 12-14, 2018, at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Palm Beach, FL. The clinic, which has space for 24 riders, is currently full, but there is a cancellation list and CPI attendees are encouraged to audit the clinic. For more information, please go to www.collegeprepinvitational.com.

A well-known and respected horseman, Dowling is a professor of Equine Studies at Centenary University. He serves as the coach for Centenary's nationally ranked IHSA team, which has maintained a steady position at the top of the IHSA standings after winning the national title three times in the previous 6 years, having produced three Cacchione Cup winners during this same time period.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Fairfield University in Connecticut and continuing his graduate studies at the University of Lancaster in Lancashire, England, Mr. Dowling opened Windham Hill training facility in northwest New Jersey. There he focused on training and preparing horses and riders for the show ring.

Mr. Dowling's philosophy uses the forward riding system of teaching and training to incorporate flatwork and gymnastics to develop the skills necessary for riders. Riders in his program have qualified for the ASPCA Maclay Finals, USEF Pessoa Medal FInals, USET Finals, Young Riders, USEF Junior Hunter Finals, USEF Pony Hunter Finals and Indoors, with many of riders placing or winning at these and other esteemed shows.

"We are so excited that an excellent trainer and coach like Michael will join us again as clinician this year," said CPI President Lindsay Martin. "Young riders participating in and auditing the clinic will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best coaches in the IHSA."
