Using Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Microsoft Kinect for Windows

Watch this video and see how Microsoft Dynamics NAV takes on the role of the customer by understanding the difficulty in using an IT system with a mouse and keyboard if the job requires big gloves, dirty hands, or something like that. Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Microsoft Kinect for Windows uses a scenario around bike assembling to demonstrate how an assembly employee can use all of the functions and benefits that come with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 without having to use a mouse and keyboard. This demo was created with help from Qurius N.V. who built the Kinect control to showcase Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Kinect for Windows.

Microsoft Dynamics Recommended Publications

As a member of DynAA, you receive software and services directly from Microsoft that enable you to integrate software into your curriculum. Another way to bring technology into the classroom is by using publications that feature Microsoft Dynamics software as the system example. One book we would like to highlight this month is "Food Products Manufacturing using Microsoft Dynamics AX," by Scott Hamilton. In this book, Scott explains how Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 supports the unique business practices for supply chain management in the food product industries. The targeted reader includes those individuals implementing or considering Dynamics AX as their ERP system, as well as those providing consulting assistance.

Another recommended publication is: "Using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012"This book enables users, students, and consultants to easily understand Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 by going through a simple but comprehensive case study - the sample company "Anso Technologies Inc". This book provides knowledge to handle all basic business processes in Dynamics AX. Exercises are provided to train on the processes and functionality. The author of this book is Dr. Andreas Luszczak.

Visit Faculty Connection if you would like to see the full list of recommended publications.
