Pharmacy Connect
School-based Traineeship Program supported by Peter Needs Pharmacy
Peter Needs Chemmart Pharmacy, South West Rocks, recognises the value of recruiting and training new staff through school-based traineeships. The Pharmacy Connect program, facilitated by Mid Coast Connect, is a program for Indigenous youth to obtain employment in the pharmacy industry through school-based traineeships while being mentored and supported.
"This program is fantastic for senior school students and a great way to get started in a career while still at school. Employers such as Peter Needs Chemmart Pharmacy have been supportive", says Allan Campbell, Coordinator of the program.

"Since its inception in 2013, the Pharmacy Connect program has helped students prepare for work and keep their job while completing their HSC," says Jenny Fraser, Executive Officer of Mid Coast Connect.
