Jan 16, 2017      Finger Lakes Connected
My Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was spent watching my puppy run free in the snow with my son, making chocolate chip pancakes and bacon for the kiddos, putting the finishing touches on this newsletter for you, and teaching my dance fitness class at night...Ahhhh. He believed in the power of love and strength to overcome manmade challenges. It is always a blessing to hone in on our inner strength and love to reach new heights and live with purpose, even amidst struggles. I wish you all this and more! Enjoy this week's FLC!

Stay Healthy this Season
Rely on more than hand sanitizers. The alcohol-based gel may be convenient, but good old-fashioned soap and water is best when it comes to killing germs on your hands, according to a review of research in the American Journal of Public Health.
The Fix: Opt for soap and water as your first line of defense; make sure to get easily forgotten areas, like the backs of your hands. Then, when you cannot get to a sink, reach for a 60% alcohol hand sanitizer.

This health tip is brought to you by Canandaigua The Medicine Shoppe, Canandaigua, NY.
EVERYONE can Learn To Skate right here in Canandaigua at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center! They do awesome birthday parties, too!
