Happy Mid-July! We wanted to give you a quick update on what's happening at St John's Shelter and the Micah Center. We are in planning mode for our 2017-18 Shelter season; this means we have employment opportunities, Gala news, and other ways you can be apart of the St. John's community. On November 3rd, 2017, we are hosting our 3rd Annual Restoring Hope Gala, and you are invited! The event will begin at 5pm, where we will have dinner, live music, guest speaker, and a silent auction! Employment Opportunities for 2017-18 Shelter Season
 
St. John's Homeless Shelter is now accepting applications for the 2017-18 Shelter Season. We will be holding interviews the month of August and beginning of September, with a training start date of October 13, 2017. There are a number of opportunities available. If you are interested in more information before you send your resume and cover letter, please contact our Program Director, Lindsay Farrington, to describe your qualifications and why you are interested in joining the St. John's team.

We know these words to be so true. The volunteers that serve St Johns are some of our areas busiest folks. They are deeply involved in women's groups, Bible studies, politics, employment, education, other volunteer opportunities, church committees, civic responsibilities, family support, child care, and hundreds of other activities. And yet, they are deeply committed to serving our homeless brothers and sisters at St. John's and the Micah Center.

On June 7th, we took the time to celebrate these special folks that make our ministry come alive. We celebrated the hands and hearts that serve and love our guests even when the timing isn't convenient for them.

Green Bay Community Church opened their doors for the event, the Radisson provided a delicious and bountiful meal, Schroeder's provided florals and several small items donated for door prizes, too.

Volunteer Coordinator, Leanne Baeten said "Our volunteers are such an important part of our St John's family. Without them we could not provide the love and support our guests need. They freely give of their precious time to lovingly serve. We are grateful for each of them."
Volunteer Spotlight: 
AON Risk Solutions' Empower Results Day
 
We want to send a huge thank you to the AON Risk Solutions group that came in and helped us with some big projects! We have just rearranged our office spaces at the Micah Center to better serve the guests. One project was that we needed to clean and repaint the Case Managers' office space. It looks amazing, and we appreciate every team member taking time out of their day to serve our guests and staff. Thank you!
