Congratulations to Porsche and Corvette Racing for their excellent performances in last weekend's 24 Hours of LeMans. Also great to see Townsend Bell and Patrick Dempsey on the podium in their respective classes. The streaming video and data available on the WEC website was a bargain at $11 for the whole week, putting US network coverage to shame.
Customers report that the Spark booth at the
Circuit de la Sarthe was rich with new product, including the 2014 Le Mans entries that we're still waiting for here in the Colonies. Hope they make their way to our shores soon.
We'll have Spark Model's 2015 LM lineup for you as soon as it is officially presented but we couldn't help but notice the Spark logo on the dorsal fin of the LMP2 Class winning #47 Oreca Nissan, in my opinion the most beautiful car in the race. Can't wait to add one to my collection!
While we're on the subject of Spark Model, our
pre-order deadline for more than 40 forthcoming 1/43 scale models is the close of business
tomorrow, June 18.
Reserving your preferences in advance is becoming more and more important these days. As those of you who have visited TMC lately already know, our aisles are crowded with great new and vintage models, books and artwork. With two more (excellent) estate collections due to arrive later this month, we will have more inventory than ever, forcing us to order fewer and fewer 'extra' models from these giant lists from Spark and others.
