From the Depths of the Sea to Your Own Backyard

Explore poison's role in nature, human health and myth, while coming face-to-face with different poisonous and venomous species from South Florida and around the world.

This summer, discover poison's power as it seeps through the walls of the Frost Science in a toxin takeover of the museum! From our rooftop garden to the waters of our Aquarium, our newest special exhibition The Power of Poison: From the Depths of the Sea to Your Own Backyard explores poison's role in nature, literature, and culture, while taking a deeper look at the toxic species that reside in ecosystems both in Florida and around the world.

The Power of Poison will be on view from Saturday, May 26, 2018 through Monday, September 3, 2018. The exhibition is supported locally by Jackson Health System and Florida Poison Information Center-Miami. The Power of Poison is organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New York (www.amnh.org).

Shore Club
Stayed for a week and had great time..What we really enjoyed is that you feel relax and the staff is not pushy ( they don't see you just as a $$ walking around). At beach hotels in South Beach where we stayed before (5 star hotels) the service might have been better but very annoyed because there is a continuous effort to get your money especially at the pool. Have to mention the BEST EVER CONSIERGE Vachira Perez which made the difference to our stay. She is so friendly and really she knows the best places to suggest. She immediately understands whats your tastes are and suggests the right place..
