2018 Municipal Elections
The 2018 Municipal Elections will be held on
Monday, October 22nd, 2018
To run in the 2018 Middlesex Centre Municipal Election you must file your Nomination Package with the Clerk’s Office at 10227 Ilderton Rd., Ilderton on or before 2:00pm, July 27 th , 2018.

Bev Hughes - Senior of the Year
At the June 6th, 2018 Meeting of Council, Council recognized and presented resident Bev Hughes with the Middlesex Centre 2018 "Senior of the Year" award.

Bev is a familiar face to most in Middlesex Centre. Bev has been a volunteer in the community for most of his life. Currently, Bev volunteers his time to many organizations and events including the Middlesex Centre Archives , Tri-County Heritage.Club , and the Ilderton Agricultural Society/Ilderton Fair Board

"I am very honoured to be recognized, I truly feel that volunteerism is what builds a strong community" - Bev Hughes.

Middlesex Centre council wishes to thank Bev Hughes on his continued hard work and dedication to volunteerism - it is truly inspirational! Thank you to all residents that take time out of their lives to volunteer in the community.

ILDERTON - The Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario, Canada, in partnership with Middlesex County, with the support of Council and an initiative led by Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Harvey, will soon unveil two pedestrian crossovers in Ilderton on Hyde Park Road at the intersection of Heritage Drive and another crossover in the approximate location of the Ilderton water tower...

Middlesex Centre reminds residents that there is no open burning during designated poor air quality days. Please monitor these advisories before starting any open burns. To check current advisories from Environment Canada:
BUILDING & BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT
A Reminder...
  • No person, being the owner or keeper of any dog within the municipality shall permit any such dog to run at large (Dog must be leashed at all times!)

  • Any person who owns or controls a dog shall remove forthwith any excrement left by such dog on any property in the municipality (Clean up after your dog!)


In addition, please ensure that dogs are not confined or unattended in a parked or stationary vehicle.

NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION:
Glendon Drive Streetscape Municipal Class Environmental Assessment
Middlesex County and the Municipality of Middlesex Centre have completed a Schedule ‘C’ Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to identify potential streetscape improvements to Glendon Drive, County Road 14. The study area extends from the Thames River Bridge through the communities of Kilworth and Komoka to the Highway 402 interchange. The Class EA has been undertaken in accordance with the planning process outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association, Municipal Class EA (2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, & 2015).

A full day of events starting with "The Fireman's Breakfast" at 8 am and ending with fireworks at former Prince Andrew School site at dusk - with plenty in between.
DEL-KO-BRYDGE CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS  

The 37th annual Del-Ko-Brydges (Delaware-Komoka-Mount Bryges) Canada Day celebrations are being held in Mount Brydges this year at the Caradoc Lions Park. A jam-packed day with events for all ages.

CAMP READ S'MORE

What is Cam Read S'More?

Camp Read S'More is a fun, free summer reading club for kids. Participants will be able to earn up to 10 camp badges during the 7 week program by completing activities,  attending library events  and reaching their reading goals. There are also some great prizes to be won!

How can we join Camp Read S'More?

Beginning July 3, visit any  Middlesex County Library branch  to register. Every child that registers will receive a camp pass,  badge chain and a registration badge. They will also set a personal reading goal for during the 7 week program. Camp Read S'More is open to children of any age, but kids entering grade 6 or higher may wish to participate in the Scratch Off Summer Challenge instead!
SCRATCH OFF SUMMER CHALLENGE

What is the Scratch Off Summer Challenge?

The Scratch Off Summer Challenge is a reading program for youth entering grade 6 or higher in the fall.

How do you participate in the Scratch Off Summer Challenge?

By visiting any Middlesex County Library and checking out a book, audiobook, graphic novel or magazine, or by showing that you've checked out an eBook or digital audiobook. For each check-out of one of the listed items (limit of one per day) you'll receive a scratch ticket; you'll win a prize instantly or be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.  

What Can I win?

You can instantly win a variety of small and large prizes at every branch (including fun toys, ear buds and gift cards). If you don't win an instant prize, your ticket will be entered into the end of summer, system-wide Grand Prize Draw.

July 13 (eve) - 15 - Tri-County Heritage & Antique Show
Displays include all brands of antique tractors, cars, trucks, gas engines, steam engines, lawn and garden tractors (must be 25 years and older). The weekend includes a large outdoor and indoor (in the Agriplex) Fleamarket; Indoor Displays (including Ladies’ demos) in the Arena; Children’s Activities, a Saturday Parade on the grounds; Jamboree Music in the Community Centre; Fun Tractor Pulls; Sawmill; Threshing; and other demonstrations.
