The Proposed Budget was presented at the November 5th meeting of the Board of Supervisors. If approved, it will serve as the central policy document for all Township spending in 2019.It includes all expected operating revenues and expenditures as well as proposed capital projects for the year. This year, the budget process included two interactive public workshops where residents offered their thoughts and suggestions to the Board and Township staff. Both public and Board of Supervisors input were included in the Proposed Budget.

  • The largest expenditure category is Police Services at 51 percent, followed by Employer Paid Benefits (20 percent) and Public Works (8 percent)
  • The Township's portion of the Real Estate Tax accounts for less than 9 percent of what residents pay, with the remainder going to Bucks County and Neshaminy School District
  • The budget includes a new incentive program for volunteer fire fighters
  • The Proposed Budget includes the hiring of a full-time Information Technology employee to replace the contracted services provided, allowing the Township t have better coverage at no added cost

Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday word abstract - text in vintage letterpress wood type with a cup of coffee_ holiday shopping concept The Board of Supervisors has proclaimed Saturday, November 24th, 2018, Small Business Saturday in Middletown Township.

Middletown celebrates its local small businesses for their integral contributions to the economy and community. These businesses create jobs and give us places to shop with friends and family. Many of them also participate in community events and initiatives. Shopping at small businesses helps ensure that your money spent stays in the community and the local economy.

Many people will be out on Black Friday looking for the best deals, but the Township would like to encourage you to also seek out local business for some of your holiday shopping. To those who plan to shop on Small Business Saturday, thank you for supporting the community!
Shop with a Cop

Shop with a Cop is fast-approaching, and every donation can help children in need celebrate with their family during the holidays.

This program, done in partnership between the Middletown and the Lower Southampton Police Departments, partners children with police officers to complete a holiday shopping spree at Target. Children buy presents for their parents and siblings while they and their families have breakfast with officers and a visit with Santa.

Every dollar donated goes directly to benefit the children. Please support this program and help disadvantaged children by donating on the Middletown Community Foundation Website.

Please contact Officer Melissa Robison at [email protected] if you have any questions.
