Class of 2014
We would like to congratulate the seniors and wish them well in their future endeavors, which we look forward to hearing about in the years to come! The Graduation Ceremony will be on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00 pm in the Gymnasium, and everyone is welcome. We are delighted to have Neil Sicherman as our commencement speaker. Neil has been a KWS parent for many years and is a past member of the Board of Trustees.  His work is in the field of leadership training and economics.

The Eighth Grade will have their ceremony acknowledging the completion of their Lower School years on Wednesday, June 11 at 7:00 pm in the Lower School Theater. For those eighth graders returning to KWS in the fall, we look forward to welcoming you back then. For those whose paths lead them elsewhere, best wishes and know that you are always welcome back for events, visits, and to re-join the class.

New First Grade Teacher for 2014-15
Our new First Grade Class Teacher, Eleanor Seidman is looking for a two-bedroom apartment with storage space to rent beginning July 15. If you know of anything, please share that information with Kay in the Middle School office. Thank you!

Seven Stars Shop
Only two more weeks until the Seven Stars Shop is closed for the summer. We will be having a sale on select items! Everything from Sarah's Silks and all beeswax tapers will be on sale. Stock up on your Waldorf Supplies for the summer. Maybe some yarn for handwork projects? Needle felting kits or craft kits for a rainy day project? We are fully stocked with beeswax in all colors, including new sets of plant-dyed beeswax. Also, there are free books and puzzles on the shelves outside the store for anyone who would like them.

The Seven Stars Shop is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:45 until 4:00 pm, and on Fridays during the Coffee Cart from 8:00 until 9:30 am and again from 2:45 until 4:00 pm.

Soccer Coach
KWS is seeking a Middle School Boys Soccer coach for Fall 2014. Practice is held three times per week, and the season runs from late August through most of October. Contact the Athletic Office for details at 933.3635, ext. 131.

Community Spirit Fund
Below are the current standings for the Community Spirit Fund parent challenge. As a reminder, we have a set of honey bears to give to the second class to reach 100% parent participation. Additionally, if we reach 100% parent participation overall, we will do something special (feel free to send suggestions to the Development Office). Gifts can be made online or you can email the Development Office to let them know how much you plan to give (payments are due June 30).

Referral Program
You, our parents, are our best advertisers and advocates. To show our appreciation for recommending our school to your friends and family, we have a wonderful referral program. This is our way of thanking you for spreading the word about Kimberton Waldorf School and welcoming new families into our program. How it works: Talk to people about Kimberton Waldorf School. If you refer a brand new (to KWS) family and they enroll a student, you will earn a $500 credit toward your tuition. In order for you to receive the credit, you must tell Lael Rasch the name of the family you have referred within one week of their first contact with the school.

Kimberton Waldorf School is dedicated to nurturing the developing child in accordance with the educational principles of Rudolf Steiner. The school supports the unfolding individuality of each child by awakening the child's capacity to meet the world, others, and the self with warmth of heart, clarity of thought, and strength of purpose. It is also our mission to build a diverse community where the spiritual in each human being is recognized and to create social forms that ennoble human striving.
