REMINDERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dancing with the Devil: Healing Adolescence through Waldorf Education
Join us for a presentation by John Wulsin, Jr. being held at 7:30 pm on Monday, February 3 in the High School Library. Focusing on the mysterious challenges of the four years of high school, we will look at how the humanities curriculum in particular meets the students in these distinct stages of development, these years of danger and of delight, of fear and of hope, these years of crucial development for the health of the rest of one's life. To read more about John's background and the presentation, click here.

The Early Childhood faculty is seeking an assistant teacher for our Afternoon Kindergarten Program. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, a good communicator, responsible, with warmth and patience for young children.  The candidate should have an attention to detail and enjoy their work in the classroom. The assistant teacher needs to be able to work supportively with the lead afternoon teacher and Early Childhood team. The ideal candidate will have Waldorf Early Childhood teacher training and classroom experience. The afternoon assistant position is paid hourly. The position hours are school days from noon to 3:00 pm.  For more information, contact Allyn Weiser at aweiser@kimberton.org. Resume, autobiographical sketch and references may be sent to Kimberton Waldorf School, Attn: Early Childhood Search Committee, PO Box 350, Kimberton, PA 19442.

High School Musical
We are thrilled to announce that our high school musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, will take place on February 27, 28, and March 1, 2014. The excitement felt by the high school students about this upcoming musical is contagious! Please consider supporting the musical by placing an ad in the program. Anyone can take out an ad---business owners, family and friends with personal messages, student organizations, parent organizations, and sports teams. With an audience expected to exceed 1,000 people, it is a great way to advertise your company, promote your personal business, or send a personal message. Click here to access the ad reservation form.

OUR MISSION

Kimberton Waldorf School is dedicated to nurturing the developing child in accordance with the educational principles of Rudolf Steiner. The school supports the unfolding individuality of each child by awakening the child's capacity to meet the world, others, and the self with warmth of heart, clarity of thought, and strength of purpose. It is also our mission to build a diverse community where the spiritual in each human being is recognized and to create social forms that ennoble human striving.
