From the Office Staff
Dear KWS Parents,

A few things to be aware of as we wrap up another school year:

* A summary of the 2014-15 calendar is on our website. Please refer to our online calendar to see our holidays and breaks next year.

* Watch for your child/ren's year-end reports from their teachers to arrive in the mail in early July.

* If any of your contact information changes over the summer (address, phone, email address), please notify the school office.

Thank you for a wonderful year with your children! We wish everyone a relaxing summer and look forward to seeing you again in September.

New First Grade Teacher for 2014-15
Our new First Grade Class Teacher, Eleanor Seidman is looking for a two-bedroom apartment with storage space to rent beginning July 15. If you know of anything, please share that information with Kay in the Middle School office. Thank you!

Seven Stars Shop
The Seven Stars Shop would like to thank all of the people who came out to support our school store this year. Our first year as a smaller, volunteer-run store was a success!  Have a wonderful summer. See you in September!

Soccer Coach
KWS is seeking a Middle School Boys Soccer coach for Fall 2014. Practice is held three times per week, and the season runs from late August through most of October. Contact the Athletic Office for details at 933.3635, ext. 131.

Community Spirit Fund

A message from Angela Pappas, second grade parent:

Katherine has been at KWS since age 2. She is very artistic and loves to work with her hands-drawing, painting, crafting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, felting, cooking, building, gardening, etc. The relationships she has built with those in her class, as well as with those in classes all the way up to the 12th grade, are special beyond measure. We feel good about sending Katherine to KWS because we know that she is in a nurturing, loving, and wholesome environment where the earth, nature, and the individuality and unique spirit of each and every student are celebrated and treasured. Please join us in giving thanks to the faculty and staff who work tirelessly for our children by making a gift (of any amount) to the Community Spirit Fund.

Below are the current standings for the Community Spirit Fund parent challenge. We would like to congratulate the kindergarten, the 10th grade, the 9th grade, and the 6th grade for all reaching 100% parent participation this week! We are hoping the last few classes will join them. Gifts can be made online or you can email the Development Office to make a pledge; just state the amount that you plan to give (payments are due June 30).

Referral Program
You, our parents, are our best advertisers and advocates. To show our appreciation for recommending our school to your friends and family, we have a wonderful referral program. This is our way of thanking you for spreading the word about Kimberton Waldorf School and welcoming new families into our program. How it works: Talk to people about Kimberton Waldorf School. If you refer a brand new (to KWS) family and they enroll a student, you will earn a $500 credit toward your tuition. In order for you to receive the credit, you must tell Lael Rasch the name of the family you have referred within one week of their first contact with the school.

Kimberton Waldorf School is dedicated to nurturing the developing child in accordance with the educational principles of Rudolf Steiner. The school supports the unfolding individuality of each child by awakening the child's capacity to meet the world, others, and the self with warmth of heart, clarity of thought, and strength of purpose. It is also our mission to build a diverse community where the spiritual in each human being is recognized and to create social forms that ennoble human striving.
