REMINDERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Referral Program
You, our parents, are our best advertisers and advocates. To show our appreciation for recommending our school to your friends and family, we have a wonderful referral program. This is our way of thanking you for spreading the word about Kimberton Waldorf School and welcoming new families into our program. How it works: Talk to people about Kimberton Waldorf School. If you refer a brand new (to KWS) family and they enroll a student, you will earn a $500 credit toward your tuition. In order for you to receive the credit, you must tell Lael Rasch the name of the family you have referred within one week of their first contact with the school.

Waldorf Weekend
Have you ever had a difficult time explaining to someone clearly yet briefly what Waldorf Education is and why you have chosen it for your family? The Parent Education Committee is thrilled to offer our community the "Waldorf Weekend" workshop presented by Sunbridge Institute. Registration for this amazing opportunity is open! Please register early as there are only 25 spots available. We are especially pleased to offer this event FREE to the first 10 registrants, so click here to register now. After the first 10 registrants, the workshop fee will be just $50 for each of the remaining 15 seats. Please only sign up if you can commit to attending the entire workshop (Friday night and all day Saturday).

Photo Retakes
Student photo packages were sent home this week. The photographer will return on Wednesday, December 4 to take photos of students who were absent on Photo Day, October 30, as well as retakes. If you are unhappy with your child's photo, please return the original package to the school and notify the office that you would like your child's photo retaken on December 4. Please call the office if you have any questions: 610-933-3635, ext. 1.

Crafting Session
There will be a matchbox making and decorating session on Tuesday, December 3, at 8:00 am, immediately after drop-off in the handwork room of the Gymnasium. We are finishing up the crafts needed for the Kimberton table at the Craft Fair.

Community Spirit Fund
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now there's #GivingTuesday. A new day for giving back. On Tuesday December 3, 2013, families, businesses, students, and other groups will join together around the globe to support the work of the charitable organizations in our communities. Please help us celebrate #GivingTuesday with a gift to the Community Spirit Fund. We need everyone to contribute in order to reach our goal of 100% participation. Gifts of all sizes are valued. Donations can be made in honor of a teacher or another KWS family who has supported your child in his or her journey; it's a lovely way to pass on your gratitude. Click here to participate.
OUR MISSION

Kimberton Waldorf School is dedicated to nurturing the developing child in accordance with the educational principles of Rudolf Steiner. The school supports the unfolding individuality of each child by awakening the child's capacity to meet the world, others, and the self with warmth of heart, clarity of thought, and strength of purpose. It is also our mission to build a diverse community where the spiritual in each human being is recognized and to create social forms that ennoble human striving.
