 A Short but Productive Week!

Despite the upcoming February Break, students and staff were hard at work this week. There were lessons galore, reading groups a-plenty, t he Student Newspaper Team worked diligently to complete their articles for our first paper (stay tuned for that!), and of course we all enjoyed this unseasonably warm and sunny weather! We packed an awful lot into 4 days!

We also rolled out the  MFCS Annual Fundraising Calendar Raffle  this week. Students spent a bit of time creating a list of potential customers as they brainstormed names of friends, family and neighbors who would likely want to support our public Montessori School by purchasing 1 or more Raffle Calendars. Thanks in advance to all of our families for working together to help us reach (or maybe even exceed) the $10,000 set by Calendar Coordinator Liza Zonfrillo this year. And please again join me in thanking Lisa for all her hard work on this important fundraiser! (please see the box below for more details)

We are thrilled to share that our own Madison Harressey was selected as a finalist in NH Parenting Magazine's Cover Art Competition . Her picture and a brief bio will be in the March issue! Her winning piece is shown to the left.

Whether you are hopping on a plane to a far off place, or planning to enjoy a quiet staycation, we wish everyone a fun and relaxing February Break.

Can't wait to hear all the details when we are back together here at school on March 6th!

 2017 Calendar Raffle Fundraiser

This week we have kicked off our Annual Calendar Raffle. We spoke with the students about the Raffle and have sent home a packet of Raffle Calendars with each child. In that packet, you should find your child's index card which they used to build a list of potential customers!

There is power in numbers!
We have 168 students,
so if everyone were to sell 10 calendars,
we would exceed our $10,000 goal!

About the 2017 Fundraiser:
  • The 2017 Mill Falls Calendar Raffle features many different prizes from local businesses.
  • Calendars can be purchased from February 24th - March 24th for $10 each.
  • Calendars may be purchased on line, by cash or by check.
  • A winner will be chosen each day in the month of April.
  • We hope you will encourage your buyers to buy more than one! It will increase their chances of winning!
  • We have a special recognition prize for the student who sells the most calendars!
This important school fundraiser is a fun and engaging way to
help raise money for our school, share wonderful raffle prizes with
friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues and talk with people about
our public Montessori school.
