CORPORATE SPONSORS

We gratefully acknowledge the ongoing contributions from the following corporate partners:

 It Takes a Village...

What a tremendous job the MFCS Community has done over the last few weeks! We have come together, and shared our strength and, as of this morning, raised over  $9600 in Calendar Raffle Sales!

Thank you to all who worked on this and to everyone who supported the effort! And a HUGE thank you to Lisa Z  who once again secured fantastic prizes and saw the project through from start to finish by counting every last penny raised this week along with help from Jen and Alicia. We will begin announcing our daily winners on April 1. Each winner will be called, announced on the Mill Falls FaceBook  page, and listed here, in our weekly newsletter.

Please note, we will keep the on-line sales page open throughout the month of April, so that folks can continue to buy the calendars to be part of this fun and important fundraising effort. The link to the online site for purchasing is: www.millfalls.org/spring-calendar-raffle/ Feel free to post this on your personal FB page and spread the word!

Game Night is coming up and we wanted to be sure that you are aware that the planning for the evening is being organized in large part by our 6th Year Students as part of their Service Learning Curriculum. Ms. Ashley, Assistant Teacher in the Everglades Room, has been working with the 6th Year cohort on a number of service learning projects. Game Night is just one of many. How can you help? Plan to join them on Family Game Night, April 7th, 5:30-7:30, right here at school. Please see the box below for more details!

Our Lower Elementary students had a wonderful trip to the Stockbridge Theater at Pinkerton Academy earlier this week. There they took in the musical Pete the Cat about a stray cat who becomes a house cat. Before becoming a house cat, Pete played in a band, touring in a "VW" (Very Wonderful) bus. The performance was presented by a cast of adults and students. Thanks so much to the many chaperones who helped out!

A reminder that next week our staff and our 3rd-6th year students will be engaged in the Smarter Balanced Assessments. We have some terrific Break Activities planned, from Zumba and Latin Dance to Jazzercise and movement games. Special thanks to those parents who have cleared their schedules to lead these activities which will certainly make those break times extra special for our students.

Thank you Officer Marr!
As reported by WMUR on March 29, o ur own MFCS dad, Sgt. Pete Marr, was "the first officer to notice that the 51-year-old man sitting in the waiting room Tuesday wasn't doing well. He said he immediately feared the worst...  Marr, along with lieutenants Nicole Ledoux and Joe Mucci and Officer Victoria Catano, jumped in to help. They put the man on the floor and began CPR...The officers said that while they did save a life, they don't think of their actions as being heroic. For them, it was all part of a day's work."
 Let the Games Begin!

We then add in our monthly Professional Development Early Releases, Conference Days and a few other scheduling elements that are unique to Mill Falls. In the recent issue of the publication, Montessori Life, we came across an article geared toward parents and the challenges of the morning routine. It's a quick read with some good pointers. Click here for the link.
