 Spring...finally has sprung!

At last, the warm weather has arrived! I think it is safe to say, snow days for this year are a thing of the past!

And with the start of spring come some new and exciting projects and programs.

No Act of Kindness is Ever Wasted!
Open your heart to the 6th Year's next service learning project - Kindness Week! Stop by to see the kindness tree which will grow leaves of kind acts and words collected from everyone in our community. Did you witness or overhear kind words or acts? Were you part of sharing kindness and empathy? Add your note to the box which sits beside the poll near the tree. We look forward to seeing our tree blossom!

On Tuesday morning, the 2017 Charter Renewal Team  will spend time here at Mill Falls as part of the Renewal Process. We look forward to sharing the work we do here as they meet with adult and student members of our learning community.

Thanks in advance to members of our community who have begun to bring in items listed in our recess request! (see below for more details)

HUGE thank you to the organizing team and the night-of Volunteers who helped to make Game Night 2017 a GREAT evening. Our sense of community was on beautiful display last Friday night, and we are so proud of our 6th Year Students who put so much energy and time into planning the evening and serving as Game Gurus. A special shout out to Lauren D, Amanda G and Ms. Ashley for keeping everyone and everything on track all along the way!

Over April Vacation we are planning to kick off the Outdoor Improvement Plan. We will be taking small steps this spring to improve our outdoor options for our students and will continue this over the next many months.

We are looking for volunteers who will be in town over April Break and are willing and able to lend a hand. We will be stenciling games onto the sidewalk and cement (as long as Mother Nature works with us!), and need a small but mighty team of people who can help!

Can you lend a hand?
Please contact Meryl directly, and please also note what days during the Vacation Week you are available.
