Minds That Move Us initiative
In order to attain a meaningful and profitable career, every worker needs to have certain foundational skills to help them pursue the education or training they need; however, assisting these workers can be a great challenge to our many adult education agencies ac ross P ennsylvania.

A new initiative from the Institute for Educational Leadership, COABE, and the National Association of State Directors of Adult Education is offering three grants of $100,000 aimed at creative problem solving and collaboration among adult education providers and traditional and nontraditional stakeholders. The Adult Career Pathway Design Challenge , as part of the Minds that Move Us initiative, seeks innovative career pathways ideas that can usher adults towards a career who might not have the education or training background to accomplish it otherwise. While a total of 10 teams will be chosen to participate in the challenge, grants of $100,000 will be awarded to three teams.

The Adult Career Pathway Design Challenge includes a design camp, a career pathways festival, and ongoing coaching for participants.

Applications for this challenge are due on Friday, June 29, 2018. A webinar will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018, at 2:00pm to share more information.
