Welcome to the week where it all comes together. Holy Week and Easter are literally cosmic in scale as our broken universe is reconciled with its loving father. The pain and gore of the week are transformed to new life come Sunday. It is a truth so beautiful, so radiant that it lives beyond the horizon of our imagination. In their own way each of the witnesses of the resurrection found it so unbelievable that they couldn't recognize it at least not in the beginning. Those first witnesses of Jesus' resurrection found him after they faced the darkness and pain of their experience.
This week and especially this Sunday we follow in the footsteps of these first witnesses to behold and be transformed by what we find. We come like the women did to the tomb that our expectations would be broken and our minds might be opened. Every Easter it is important as we try to see through our divisions, hurts and losses and look to Jesus who brings unexpected healing and wholeness.
So I hope to see you this week and on Sunday, as we join Christ in his powerful and painful walk to bring us forgiveness and freedom.

It will be held at the 10:30 service and the children will return during the Peace. Volunteer adults and teens lead the worship and music, and children do the rest - from reading the Psalm and Prayers of the People, to lighting candles and collecting the offertory, to running the power points. Please remember to take your children to the restroom prior to the service. See you there and be ready to have fun in Children's Chapel!
