Easter Message

Welcome to the week where it all comes together. Holy Week and Easter are literally cosmic in scale as our broken universe is reconciled with its loving father. The pain and gore of the week are transformed to new life come Sunday. It is a truth so beautiful, so radiant that it lives beyond the horizon of our imagination. In their own way each of the witnesses of the resurrection found it so unbelievable that they couldn't recognize it at least not in the beginning. Those first witnesses of Jesus' resurrection found him after they faced the darkness and pain of their experience.

This week and especially this Sunday we follow in the footsteps of these first witnesses to behold and be transformed by what we find. We come like the women did to the tomb that our expectations would be broken and our minds might be opened. Every Easter it is important as we try to see through our divisions, hurts and losses and look to Jesus who brings unexpected healing and wholeness.

So I hope to see you this week and on Sunday, as we join Christ in his powerful and painful walk to bring us forgiveness and freedom.

In peace,

On April 23rd our Miracles in Motion Campaign begins. Every Sunday is a must-see event for members of our church from then until our Commitment Sunday and Celebration event on May 21st. Plan to join us for all of the campaign especially the kick-off
and closing celebration.

As you are aware, we are in the process of preparation for our capital campaign.  As part of this process, there are going to be two Advance Commitments gatherings.  The purpose of the gatherings is to help build faith and excitement in the church to provide the campaign with a running start.
One of the gatherings will be hosted by Joey and Michele Gabriel at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 28th.  The second gathering will be hosted by Paddy and Debbie Langford at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 29th.
If you feel led to make a commitment to the campaign a little ahead of the rest of the congregation for the purpose of raising belief and excitement, please either let one of the hosts or the church office know within the next couple of days.  We will make sure that you receive an invitation.  Thanks!

We are looking to expand our ranks of volunteers around worship. There are training videos now available on our website under the action tab (Liturgical Training Videos) where you can scope out what is like to be an acolyte or chalicer. One of the things we could really use help with is our sound booth. Contact  tracy@aidanschurch.org if you are interested.

Children's Ministry

Children's Chapel
Children's Chapel is a place for children to go worship in the traditions of our faith but in a way that's geared towards kindergarten-3rd grade. It will be held at the 10:30 service and the children will return  during the Peace.  Volunteer adults and teens lead the worship and music, and children do the rest - from reading the Psalm and Prayers of the People, to lighting candles and collecting the offertory, to running the power points. Please remember to take your children to the restroom prior to the service. See you there and be ready to have fun in Children's Chapel!
