Boys & Girls Club Hosts 'Star Studded Event'
Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady to Salute Retiring Board Members

PINE BLUFF, AR - In honor of Captain Lloyd Franklin and Mr. Elmer Maurice Carlton, "A Star Studded Event" will be held at Harbor Oaks on Thursday, April 21, 2011 with special guest, Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady.
As Miss Arkansas 2010, Eady became first runner-up in the 2011 Miss America Pageant, earning a $25,000 scholarship. Her talent performance was Vocal-Ventriloquism to "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart."
The "Star Studded Event" on April 21 is The Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County's way of honoring decades of commitment and high level leadership from Mr. Carlton and Captain Franklin.
"Our dual objectives, celebration and service are best matched by Miss Arkansas' finesse and stance," says Mattie P. Collins, event chairman. "Miss Arkansas' personal platform is the Boys and Girls Clubs of America."
The exciting evening of fundraising and celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. It will include live entertainment from youth throughout the community and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County in its continuing effort to provide activities for children ages five to 18.
Featuring great food, fellowship, fun, entertainment, this event is open to the public. The donation is $40 per person or $65 per couple.
The Club president is Scott Robinson. Leslie Peters is chief professional officer. Carla M. Martin, Esq. is the fundraising chairman.
